Sheyenne River
Valley National Scenic Byway - Valley City, Interstate 94 Exit 292
The first nationally
designated byway in North Dakota interprets the theme: "Hidden Treasure
of the Great Plains- The Sheyenne River and the interaction of the
people with the land over time."
In a state known
for its flat, endless horizon, take a dip in the tree-speckled,
snaking Sheyenne River Valley on a nationally designated scenic
byway. The human relationship with the river and land is explored
in 29 interpretive panels over a 63 mile drive from Baldhill Dam
